Utlimate Elevator Pranks

Utlimate Elevator Pranks

I’m addicted to pranks. Growing up with brothers, there was always competition. No matter what, we all wanted to one-up each other. Whether it be at sports, or school or… anything really. One of the constants in the house as kids was the endless barrage of pranks. We always had our go-to stunts, the saran wrap on the toilet, a bowl of warm water for the hand of whomever fell asleep first, shaking up the soda can… you name it, we did it. Ad nauseam. The thrilling feeling that consumes you when you really get somebody when they’re not expecting it is hard to describe… but you know you need more of it. I could dish it out with the best of them, but I could take it too. My brothers knew that I HATE small spaces and would exploit that knowledge whenever the opportunity arose. At a family birthday recently, we were reminiscing about the time we went to Florida on a vacation and my brothers left me on an elevator and turned the lights out (who knew that some elevators have light switches? I sure didn’t.) I’m still scarred. After everyone left, I started bumming around the internet and found some insanely creative elevator pranks that I could’ve ever (or never) imagined. Which one is your favorite?

#1 “The Haunted Elevator”

I’m not a fan of horror movies. I tend to find them comical and over-the-top, but I suppose that is what draws some people to them. For me, I struggle with believing any of the situations the characters get themselves into, and the supernatural doesn’t interest me in the slightest. I can’t tell you how scared I would be to be in the elevator in the clip below. I think I would’ve hit the little monster… whether I wanted to or not. I just can’t imagine being in a confined, malfunctioning elevator when a scary little girl appears out of nowhere. I love everyone’s reaction in the video. These are sane people still being tricked.

#2 “Last Elevator Ride”

When you lose a loved one or friend, one of the most important things is that their body is shown respect and care. The same folks that brought you the prank above bring you this gem. Could you imagine getting on the elevator on the way to a meeting only to have two funeral home workers bringing a casket onto the elevator with you and leaving it? That alone would ruin my day. But what happens next is just too much! Again, I live for the reactions.

#3 “Just Plain Rotten”

Sure, gastrointestinal humor is sophomoric and childish, but it is also universally funny. Being a germophobe, I can’t stand being around sick people and their bodily fluids. The Ebola outbreak had me considering building an underground bunker (not really, but close). The actor in this prank has some stomach… issues in the most extreme of ways. This would send me over the edge for sure.

#4 “Falling Floor”

This one might give me a fear of flights. In order to show off just how realistic their new monitor technology is, LG decided to outfit an elevator with the new displays acting as floor tiles. The victim’s reactions to watching the elevator floor fall out from under them is priceless. I know it’s tough to think clearly when you’re in a life-and-death situation, but I would like to think that I would find something to grab on to instead of accepting falling to my doom. Who am I kidding, I’d have probably reacted the same way.

I’m not sure which one I like the most. They all have some great reactions, and that’s what it’s all about. I think that the scary girl and the falling floor were my two favorite elements if I had to choose. What were some of your favorite pranks you’ve pulled off?
